This was an experience from start to finish. Despite me enjoying Laika's films it's a shame what happened to Will Vinton Studios in the long run (Phil Knight buying the studio,owning most of Will's life time work along with his trademark of claymation and kicking Will out) which led to Laika being founded after Will sued them to stop using his name.Even if you just know him from singing raisins you have to admit that his stop-motion be heralded in the same way as Jim Henson is with puppetry.For an animated film however, some parts of it was disturbing and other parts were very sad.I'm glad I only saw this once and never again, cuz I didn't much liked it.Will Vinton is an important figure for the pop culture-fueled imaginations of kids in the '80s; the most prolific animator to work in claymation, his production company was responsible for the California Raisins, the Noid, the Nome King in Return to Oz and the "Speed Demon" sequence in Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, among many other credits.
