He brings a lot of real life situations into his course which makes it interesting.I took this as a hybrid class. Professor Taylor was my favorite professor so far!
If you can take her course, do it. You will learn on accident and by the time you give your final speech, you'll sound like a pro. If you're on the quiet/introverted side, this class will be painful. Phone/Skype negotiations, group work in an online class is always annoying but I get the purpose of it. It will change your life, for the better. recommended finding a different teacher if you get this guy as a teacher. He tends to go on tangents, but he has a good heart. His classes were mostly discussions, which were awesome.
Group project wasn't bad at all. Taylor has the ability to make you think in ways that you did not even know you were capable of. He is so funny and genuinely cares about all the students. Professor Taylor's Top Tags. it was irritating at first having participation matter so much but I ended up with a 4.0 in the class and he was my favorite professor this semester. the group project is vague/ his grading is easy but he might take off points and not tell you why. You won't pass. Only thing I didn't like was that we talked WAY too much about the election and he shared his voting choice.I really like Professor Carr. I'm Professor TaylorSubmit a Correction. She gives you confidence in yourself that you are smart, and you deserve to be at UofT, whereas other professors do not even care. At first he appeared difficult but after the first assignment or two it was clear that this was going to be an easy a. listen in lectures or read the book and you'll be fine. At first, it seemed awkward, but in all honesty it wasn't bad at all. Math is not my strong suite but he made the class very interesting and painless to understand. Taylor Carr.
I would definitely take a class with him again.Professor Carr is a nice guy. He is so funny and genuinely cares about all the students. He is also an excellent communicator and consequently expects his students to be engaged in classroom discussions. He taught through lectures and discussions. Carr is a great guy. Clear grading criteria Hilarious Lecture heavy Skip class? Way to go Professor Carr! His classes were mostly discussions, which were awesome. 20 min lecture to watch, 1 discussion board a week, and the group meeting. There is a group project in the class that involves work, but he is a fairly easy grader. Ended up with a b in the class and never once participated in class.
