Then we get a 2 parter focusing on Bernice where she meets a snake charmer so to speak, which leads into a larger story later. I was irrationally excited when I ran into the artist, Tyler Crook, at a comic con last year. The citizens of Harrow County burn a witch at the stake but not before she utters a curse saying she will be back. Tyler Crook just keeps getting better and better on this one. If you've liked previous stuff from Do I need to convince anyone at this point that Harrow County is a particularly brilliant new bit of backwoods horror? I wasn't crazy about this one,but I am planning on reading the next volume. I love Harrow County. I've since read the second volume (Twice Told) and am looking forward to reading more. Loved the shift of perspective over to Bernice and Bunn's set it up in a way that promises conflict later on in the series. Wow, was that good, from the folkloric aspects of the story to the lovingly-rendered art by Tyler Crook.
