Johnnys relationship with Crystal also came to an end, as she began a romance with Quicksilver.s replacement on the roster. The intense radiation nearly incapacitated the crew, but Ben was able to return the vehicle to Earth without any fatalities. Tragically, Bens enhanced strength and durability gave his skin and body a rock-like appearance that robbed him of the ability to pass as human.
