There are six different trail systems that are located on both sides of the dam. Guests should note that only one of the cabins is pet friendly.

As a courtesy, visitors will be provided firewood for the first night, but will then be responsible for acquiring more firewood from the camp store.Norris Dam State Park has several trails suitable for equestrian use. These trails traverse ridge tops, valleys, hollows, and the lakeshore. Participants may also earn points that can be redeemed for rewards from Tennessee State Parks through the Healthy Parks, Healthy Person program.The challenge formally began on Jan. 1 with the park’s First Day Hike, when more than 60 participants gathered to kick off the year with a 2.95-mile morning hike on Andrew’s Ridge.The park will offer monthly ranger-led healthy hikes throughout the year, as well as ranger-led paddling programs. The East Campground offers 25 campsites equipped with water and electrical hookups, as well as 10 primitive campsites that are exclusively for tent camping. The very nature of lifeguarding requires close contact with pool users and creates a potential for unnecessary risk in life-saving situations.
