Shiva actually seeks out competent fighters to challenge herself.I was using a composite of Pre and post N52. Batman 66; Batwoman; Birds of Prey; Gotham; Titans; Animated Television I agree it's bad writing but it can explain away her ineptitude in that fight to some degree.I think Batman having "mastered all forms" of martial arts doesn't give him an edge vs someone that knows 5. This has been done to death....anyways, still Batman.I did it on purpose actually...@Jmarshmallow, pointed a out a fight which had special context behind it...i pointed out another fight, which also had special context behind it...neither of them, has actually defeated the other fairly...like, ever...Batman did it twice, once with help from Robin (Jason Todd), and another time against a mind-controlled Shiva...and Shiva beat Batman by hitting him with a poisoned shuriken...all 3 instances have special copntext behind it...other than that, they stallemated.I did it on purpose actually...@Jmarshmallow, pointed a out a fight which had special context behind it...i pointed out another fight, which also had special context behind it...neither of them, has actually defeated the other fairly...like, ever...Batman did it twice, once with help from Robin (Jason Todd), and another time against a mind-controlled Shiva...and Shiva beat Batman by hitting him with a poisoned shuriken...all 3 instances have special copntext behind it...other than that, they stallemated.Batman beat Shiva in a fight fair and square, and absolutely stomped her.Clearly, Grodd's mind-control didn't dull her skills as they are completely intact as shown by their brief fight, plus the fact that Batman wasn't able to tell if she was actually mind controlled or not.Whereas the scan you showed is not only Shiva from the New52, but she never actually 1). Her daughter is the vigilante Cassandra Cain, who she conceived with assassin David Cain as the perfect warrior. There are fights that have her as his superior, and it makes no sense. Everyone jobs under him. He doesn't give a crap about anything human, much less money. Why did Weather Wizard fly towards Superman when his whole powerset and strategy is based on ranged attacks and staying far away enough to keep Flash at a distance? She's never beaten him before either, legitimately or otherwise.Batman has admitted that Shiva is better than him in H2H.Lady Shiva curbstomped both Batman and Robin together, and let them both live, because...DC can't let them die.Dan Didio told Lady Shiva to not kill them, for the sake of sales...lolol.This thread has been done to death...anyway, still Lady Shiva. SHe was able to draw blood and was hit only once which she recovered easily from. This is the first I've heard of it.He's never legitimately beaten her before. Probably bad art I guessShiva might have a bit more technical skill but Batman's no slouch in that department, and unquestionably a better fighter in general. In the NU52 version, She effortlessly defeats Batman 1v1 and then effortlessly defeats Cassie 1v1. Cassie is just better at it since it was her only way of communicating/understanding the world since birth.IMO, Batman should be able to beat her for the reasons we both mentioned, he's almost as skilled and has better physicals, though Shiva should be faster due to her size and body-reading ability. That's not considered an actual fight.3). They start 30 feet apart. The OP specified Batman has both Pre-New 52 and New-52 feats. With New-52 gear, her hits will be of less effect. Lady Shiva is one of the eight assassins and a supporting antagonist in Batman: Arkham Origins.
