I loved the Raptor's character and where the writer went with it.

Chuck Dixon is the writer who made me love Nightwing as a character and I've been fond of him ever since his Bludhaven series that, essentially, made Dick Grayson work as a solo character. I wasn't feeling the rebirth issue or issue 1-2 but man, 3 kicked it up, and 4, 7, and 8 are all really good.
As a long time fan of the character, their decision to put him in red and black during the new 52 comics completely confused me, given the link to the red suit being used during his renegade persona in a pre 52 storyline.one of the most sensational graphic novell of "Rebirth" line! I mean title? It wasn't amazing or groundbreaking, but as a transition from Agent Grayson, it felt nice and easy and familiar. Now Dick Grayson has returned and can once again be Nightwing.Nightwing, Volume 1: Better Than Batman by Tim Seeley is the return of Dick Grayson to the Batman Universe as the superhero Nightwing. I have to say Nightwing's comics is really well drawn and has an amazing storyline. Raptor has one of the worst designed costumes I've ever seen. The destruction of Bludhaven ruined his newly created system but he managed to recover with the extremely good GRAYSON series. Dick Grayson has become Nightwing again after the Court of Owls forced him to join their ranks.
There are times here where Dick is beaten to a pulp by someone who doesn't seem like he should be able to, and other times where he's pulling off legendary feats like they're nothing. Raptor has one of the worst designed costumes I've ever seen. Something to do with Night of The Monster Men probably. Nightwing is one of my favorite super heroes. The story is pretty great too, with the undercover spying and all. That was basically doing a 1960s NICK FURY, AGENT OF SHIELD comic with Dick in his place and had a lot going for it. I liked him as a hero and it kinda turned me off of that comic, so when I had heard he was coming back as a hero I was extremely excited, however this first volume was basically still Greyson the spy while wearing his Nightwing costume.
