Great stories. I'm still going to work my way through the New 52 story lines, but I at least feel slightly more up to date with the rest of the comic world. Billy Jensen is an investigative journalist who focuses squarely on unsolved murders and missing persons.

I was surprised how quickly I was able to read this omnibus. He introduces a larger mystery, that someone orchestrated the new 52 out of Flashpoint. Also some duds, but most of them (I think) will be worth following... DC Universe Rebirth is 2016's relaunch of the DC Universe following the New 52 initiative, in which all the classic heroes were rebooted in various ways. Batman/The Flash: The Button Deluxe Edition
Perhaps a second omnibus should release next year? December 13th 2016 Really excited. I've heard many times that Rebirth has been impressive thus far, and, from the sneak peaks found in this volume... yeah, I'm excited. Great quality binding, paper and ink and the dust jacket is stylish and striking too. Didn't realize quite how large it was until I got it from the library.I am one of those who hates the whole multiverse concept so, of course, the start of the Omnibus was frustrating for me. DC Rebirth Omnibus Vol. It was a good intro into all the major DC Comic lines that are featured in the Rebirth initiative. But, somehow, it never did. This omnibus collects the entirety of the DC Rebirth story which sets the stage for the original Wally West's return to DC continuity as well as the over-arching plot of the DC world's continuity have being tampered with by an outside source (all signs so far point to Doctor Manhattan and the Watchmen). The story was good and the art was clean and not distracting from the story but it actually added to the story. However, Johns does a fantastic job of setting up where the DC universe is headed for the next few years. Hats to you DC, going in good directions with printings lately This is a contrast from other reboots involving larger scale miniseries events. etc. etc. Pick characters that yRecommended. The glued binding of a more than 1200-page book may be cause for concern but other than the heavy tome and the tightness of the binding that makes this stay open on a flat surface only after about 170 pages the page quality is thick and good and there is little gutter loss.

As an omnibus, this large volume collects the first stories in this relaunch, all together as a variety of different tales featuring different heroes and different art styles.I have been trying and trying and trying to read everything I want out of the New 52 before tackling Rebirth, but when we got this hefty collection in at the library... my resolve crumbled.
I just hope the rest of DC doesn't screw it up.Good lord this sucker is beefy.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes comics, those who are new to comics, such as myself, and fans of good stories. Awesome collection! Now piss or get off the pot in the second omnibus.
